As the contemporary market shifted toward lighter, greener profiles, the painstaking craftsmanship of traditional semi-oxidized tea began to disappear—leaving true, heavy-oxidation Hong Shui ("Red Water") Dong Ding virtually extinct.

Through sincere, repeated appeals, we coaxed a revered master artisan in his eighties out of retirement to recreate this lost heritage. Unlike modern counterfeits that rely on over-roasting to mimic color, this authentic batch achieves a radiant honey-amber liquor purely through master-level oxidation—producing an intensely rich throat resonance and alluring nuances of sun-ripened orchard fruit.
